General and Interventional Cardiology

Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, Pakistan's most prestigous medical school. He also attained his Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. His internship training was at St. Louis University Medical Center, followed by his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. Dr. Khan then went on to do his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. This was followed by peripheral and coronary interventional fellowships at both St. Elizabeth's Hospital-Tuft's University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Dr. Khan is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, and specializes in coronary, carotid, and peripheral vascular interventions. Dr. Khan has extensive experience in peripheral vascular interventions and coronary angioplasty. He is one of only a few cardiologists in the Houston area who has formal training in peripheral vascular angioplasty. He is also one of the few cardiologist in Texas with extensive experience in carotid artery stenting.

Dr. Khan has written or co-authored articles and research papers on cardiology and has presented these at various national conferences. He continues to speak at statewide and local organizations to promote the awareness of cardiovascular health. Dr. Khan has been featured in many local magazines and on PBS programs. He is the President Elect of Medical Staff 2007 and Chief of Staff at Tomball Regional Hospital. He also serves as the Director of Cardiology at Triumph Hospital in Tomball.
